In 2018, Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) graduate Monishi Sanyal founded IITStartsups. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, the non-profit accelerator aims to provide aspiring companies with workshop access, and qualified IIT alumni businesses with mentoring, corporate introductions, and incubation space.
The initiative is to provide mentorship, incubation and other necessary support to the bussing entrepreneurs and to connect the IIT alumni at the Silicon Valley in America.
More than 400 IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) alumni, from veterans like Vinod Khosla, (IIT Delhi) to unicorn entrepreneur Dheeraj Pandey, (IIT Kanpur, of Nutanix fame) came together January 18 for the launch of the IITStartups Accelerator.
A diverse array of startups presented their case in areas such as HealthTech, Robotics, E-commerce, Fintech, and more to potential investors at IIT’s Demo Day event, writes Siliconeer youth editor Vansh A. Gupta.
